The Seafaring Rat

The Seafaring Rat is an online shop selling artwork from Leafy Dumas’ studio. Here you can find a growing range of illustrated goods, prints, cards and original paintings to buy, all with a maritime air. 

Named after a transient character in the book The Wind in the Willows, the Seafaring Rat is a vagabond rat who inspires Ratty (a water vole who lives a comfortable life on the riverbank) with tales of adventure, sparking his wanderlust. 

Most of the shop products are entirely made by Leafy Dumas.  Some printing is outsourced (locally in the UK).  More info is given in the product descriptions.

The Seafaring Rat strives to use sustainably sourced materials, biodegradable packaging and printers who use environmentally friendly practices.
